The Mighty Oak Group team are dedicated to providing individualised, focused support to clients with a cognitive or physical disability and their families, enabling them to live as independently as possible in their home and community. Some of the ways we push towards this goal are by:
Supporting our residents with activities of daily living in the home
Encouraging and supporting our residents to actively participate and engage with their community
Networking and liaising with local communities whilst promoting a positive image of our organisation
Providing feedback and documenting progress towards individual goals set by residents
Promoting a culture that ensures residents and their family members / advocates are actively involved in decisions and choices that impact their life
Our staff all hold the following qualifications:
Certificate III or IV qualifications in Disability, Mental Health, Aged and Community Care or equivalent
DCSI Screening Check
Current Senior First Aid Certificate
Manual Handling Certificate
Medication Management Certificate
Trained in Safe Food Handling
Training Program
We have recently partnered with Education Training & Employment Australia (ETEA) to develop an industry leading training program. This means all of our staff are provided and encouraged with the opportunity to upskill their qualifications to diploma level at no personal cost. This benefits both our organisation and our clients in providing extremely high standards of quality care, in line with best practice contemporary quality framework.

Student Placement Program
Participants in our student placement program have the opportunity to gain real work experience within the disability sector, learn skills from industry leaders, and meet people from all walks of life in a safe and friendly environment. We also primarily recruit via this program, so this opportunity is one that has the potential to lead to ongoing employment.
